PT HOPE Receives Permit to Manage 100,000 Hectares of Production Forest in East Kalimantan

PT Hutan Orangutan Perlindungan Ekosistem (PT HOPE) has officially received the PBPH permit to manage a 100,000-hectare production forest concession for environmental service purposes. This milestone marks a significant step forward in PT HOPE’s mission to safeguard the Bornean forest and its diverse ecosystems. The concession permit allows PT HOPE to focus on a range of environmental services, including reforestation, habitat restoration, and the protection of wildlife.

By managing this extensive area of production forest, PT HOPE aims to enhance the ecological balance and promote biodiversity. This initiative is not only crucial for the well-being of the forest but also for the local communities who depend on its resources. PT HOPE’s efforts will contribute to the overall health of the environment, providing long-term benefits for both people and wildlife.

This achievement would not have been possible without the support of partners like HNL. Together, PT HOPE and HNL are committed to creating a secure and thriving habitat for the species that call the Bornean forest home. With the new permit, PT HOPE is poised to make a lasting impact on forest conservation and environmental sustainability, paving the way for a greener and more resilient future.
