Brahmini Kite Revival: Saving Jakarta’s Mascot through Rescue and Rehabilitation
Brahmini Kite (Haliastur Indus), also known as the Red-backed Sea Eagle or “Elang Bondol” is a protected species in Indonesia and was adopted as the official symbol of the Jakarta province in 1995. However, its population has declined and is threatened by illegal hunting and loss of habitat. Partnering with JAAN and Desa Laguna, we are on a mission to sustain the Brahmini Kites existence through re-introduction and habitat restoration.

Securing the habitat of Orangutan
in East Kalimantan
Orangutans, our remarkable relatives, have been facing a great risk of extinction. Classified as Critically Endangered, their population has been declining as their habitats shrinks. Most of the remaining orangutans habitat is found in Borneo while most of it lies beyond conservation areas. In East Kalimantan, orangutans are often found in mining, plantation, and human settlement areas. Together with PT HOPE, we work to safeguard the habitat of our lovely cousins and create a better future for all.
